88 of the plugins we meet most often on real migrations, each mapped to its Shopify equivalent: a built-in feature, an app made by Shopify, a third-party app, a Plus-only feature, or nothing at all because the platform already covers it. Every row carries a migration risk level and a note on what to plan for.

In brief
Of 88 common WooCommerce plugins, 39 (44%) are a built-in Shopify feature, 18 are covered by an app made by Shopify, 18 need a third-party app, 8 are not needed at all, 2 need Shopify Plus or an app, and 3 have no native equivalent.1
The average WooCommerce store runs 58 plugins, so the number of plugins says little about migration effort; the 13 high-risk plugins below decide most of it.2
Every row is the same data that powers the free readiness scanner and the open-source command line tool, published as JSON and CSV under CC BY 4.0.1

Frequently asked questions
How do I read the migration risk?
None means nothing to migrate: the feature exists on Shopify or is no longer needed. Low is routine setup or a straightforward app swap. Medium needs planning, such as rebuilding shipping rules or mapping custom fields to metafields. High changes the data model or the Shopify plan: active subscriptions, multilingual URLs, marketplaces and B2B price lists.
My plugin is not in the map. What does that mean?
The map covers the 88 plugins we meet most often on real migrations, not every plugin on WordPress.org. A missing plugin is not a problem, it is simply unreviewed. Open an issue on the GitHub repository and it is added in the next release.
Does "built into Shopify" mean the data moves automatically?
It means the feature exists on Shopify without an app. The data still has to be migrated: gift card balances are re-issued, SEO fields are copied from post meta, custom fields become metafields. The risk level tells you how much of that work there is.
Can I use this data in my own tools?
Yes. The map is published as JSON, CSV and a JSON Schema under CC BY 4.0, and as an npm package with a command line tool. Use it in commercial and non-commercial work with a link back to studio.mufatech.com.

Mufatech Studio migrates stores to Shopify. Shopify equivalents reflect Shopify's features as of the dataset date; Shopify ships features often, so a row can go stale. Corrections are welcome on GitHub.
